"KASHMIR BLACK DAY" Important

PG College observed Kashmir Black Day with great solemnity and patriotic spirit to mark the unlawful occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by Indian forces on October 27, 1947. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the historical injustice faced by the people of Kashmir and to express solidarity with their ongoing struggle for self-determination.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by speeches highlighting the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people. The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the independence and prosperity of Kashmir and Pakistan.

Seminar on "Geo Political Environment " Important

On 27th October 2025 , A Seminar was conducted by F.G. Postgraduate College for Women, Wah Cantt on the topic of "Geo Political Environment , A Challenge to Pakistan and its Possible Response. The guest speaker of the seminar was Senator Lt. Gen (R) Abdul Qayyum. The reigional Director Col. Abdul Wali Khan along with his team was the presiding guest.
The Speaker very effectively highlights the current situation of national affairs and role of strategic and government organizations in the integriry of the country. Pink Day Celebration Important

The PG College Wah Cantt celebrated Pink Day with great enthusiasm and spirit to promote awareness about women’s health and the importance of breast cancer prevention. Sajal Bilal, a brilliant student of F.G. Federal Government Postgraduate College for Women Wah Gantt is under the administrative control of the Directorate of Federal Government Educational Institutions (Cantts/Garrisons). The College had a modest beginning as an educational institution in 1954 when it appeared on the scene as a Primary School. The Cantonment Board with the help of POF converted four "C" type bungalows into a small school. Within a short time, sheer hard work of the founder Principal and the staff made higher authorities realize the importance of female education. Soon a high school was constructed to cope with the ever-increasing population.

In 1956 it was given the status of an Intermediate College.The high-quality results and continuous efforts converted this college to the Degree Level in 1967. In January 1975 it came under the Federal Government. In 1988 M.A English classes commenced and in 2004, M.A / M.Sc in Economics, Mathematics and Psychology was introduced. The college-initiated BS 4 years programme in Six disciplines i-e English, Mathematics, Economics, Islamic Studies, Information Technology and Botany in the year 2019 to provide students with the latest avenues of education. By the grace of Allah BS Programme in Applied Psychology was commenced in the fall 2021 and BS Program in Computer Science from National University of Pakistan in 2024.

Thus, the dreams came true and FG Postgraduate College for Women has become the pride of Wah Gantt. FG Postgraduate College for Women is situated on the Mall just across the Ordnance Club. The quiet scenery is not only conducive for study but also inspires to pursue intellectual goals. The college has a comprehensive library of about 18,676 books as well as a reference room. The girls are encouraged to consult the library and the qualified librarian is always there to help them. In addition, the library provides periodicals and special editions to accommodate the student's educational learning process.
